I entered the police academy after having wrestled all my life. The Defensive Tactics training I received in the Police Academy was great but I knew to obtain absolute control, I was going to have to use my wrestling skills on the street. After years of working on the street, I was fortunate enough to be put in a position to supplement the agency's Defensive Tactics program by adding the Wrestling For Police curriculum. Once developing this program, I trained hundreds of officers in just the first year. As a 5'8" 170lb individual, it gave credibility to what I was teaching by being able to demonstrate these techniques effectively on much larger individuals. The feedback I received was that the techniques were easy to learn, even for those who have no experience, yet highly effective. This encouraged me to continue and create Wrestling For Police for all first responders.
